March Favourites 2017

March was my birthday month ? and also the astronomical beginning of spring! So yes,it is my favourite month of the year, I very much enjoyed the time and I haven’t feel this motivated since a long time. Also, I’m in total easter prepare mood,I have so many adorable easter ideas ready for you, just wait till I edited them all,I think you will love them ♥

Maybe it’s the constant weather changes or I just have been washing my hands excessively, but my hands were even drier than in the winter month. So I went back to my trusty L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream. It’s the thickest(It’s not sticky though and spread like butter,I don’t know what magic it is) most hydrating hand cream ever, perfect to use before bed and wake up to super smooth hands in the morning! Btw,I also use it on my elbows and it works better than any body lotion.

When I heard that Lâncome came out with the matte shakers, their take on liquid lipsticks basically,I knew I had to try it out.I opted for the colour 270 Beige Vintage,a lovely dark rosy nude that brightens my complexion. To be honest, I was never really fond of matte liquid lipsticks,I think they are too drying and accentuate the texture of my lips too much. So,I definitely had my doubts whether I would like the matte shaker or not,but I love it! The texture is really thin yet highly pigmented,I get enough coverage with just 2 dips into the shaker and it dries down after about 5 minutes, not completely chalky matte but rather like the matte finish of a traditional matte lipstick. It’s super lightweight and only has the slightest transfer. I can’t wait to get my hands on the other colours.

Attention! Typo happend (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄),the shade name is Beige Vintage!

For the longest time I thought that cleaning oils are only suitable for dry skin, and I was so wrong. When my sister moved out,she left a bottle of her Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil behind, since it only had a little left I decided to use it up.And my skin has never felt this great after cleansing,my skin was clean but not the slightest bit dry or bunched. So I went to our local cosmetic store the next day to find an alternative because Shu Uemura beauty is not available in Germany…*(´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`)* I ended up getting the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil,since I already love the Midnight Recovery Concentrate a lot.The one from Kiehl’s does not emulsify as much as the one from Shu Uemura but it leaves your skin just as smooth and soft afterwards,it’s unbelievable. It’s been in my night-time routine since about 3 weeks and I haven’t skip a day without it,it’s just so quick and easy since it also takes off your make up at the same time. It’s basically the favorite of my favourites this month.

It’s so good at removing makeup !

If you read my older posts, you might know that I got the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer (in the colour “Custard”) a while back when I was in Bangkok. But I didn’t really like it and was so confused why it’s so hyped up.Until I found out I have been using it for the wrong purpose this whole time.I used it as my under eye concealer, and that didn’t work out so well, the colour was to dark, the consistency was too thick and it made my eye make up smudge like crazy even with a lot of setting powder.Only to find out from my favourite Hong kong youtuber Lok tung  that she thinks it works way better for covering up dark hyperpigmentation areas on the face and not so much as an under eye concealer.I tried it out the second day, used it on my forehead, around my nose and on my chin and I finally get why people adore this concealer so much,it covers up any redness in seconds and blends into the skin effortlessly.Glad I gave it another shot and ended up loving it!

Once you hop onto the shower foam wagon, you will never be able to get off lol. They are just so fun to use and generally leave your skin softer after showering than normal gels.Since I’m a creature of habit,I tend to repurchase the same one over and over again until I can’t bare the scent of it anymore. My last go-to was the Rituals Happy Buddha Shower Foam and I loved it for the whole 2016.But now, when I smell that fragrance,I just feel sick lol.So I looked for a new one the other day I was at Rituals and found the Rituals Of Light collection.Apparently it was their winter collection but somehow they still sell it.It has the same orange undertone like happy buddha but much warmer and deeper, paired with faint woody cinnamon makes it perfect to enjoy your hot steamy shower.

I have always adored the Chanel espadrilles but the insane price tag just holds me back. There is no way I could allow myself to spend 520€ on a pair of espadrilles that won’t last me a long time and probably goes out of fashion after this summer season .So when I came across these soft pink espadrilles from Kenzo, I ordered without hesitation. In my eyes,it’s a great “dupe”,they are both made of calfskin, has somewhat the same colour and are equally well made,I mean espadrilles really does not require master craftsmanship for comfort and fit. But most importantly the one from kenzo cost less than half the price of the chanel ones.I am extremely happy with this purchase 🙂

Like always, make sure to link or comment your march favourites.I love to read them and discover new products 🙂
