Happy Easter everyone!
Since I’m Taiwanese,I basically only had 2 go-to drinks growing up,bubble tea and sarsi.Either of those are really healthy but I’m so use to drinking it,I just can’t live without it anymore.
The other day when I was eating my chia pudding,I suddenly had this idea to replace the boba(the bubbles in the tea) with chia seeds! Boba is made of tapioca starch,and not healthy for you.On the other hand,chia seeds are packed with nutrition, expands when you soak it with liquid and becomes chewy similar to boba.Overall it’s a really good healthy alternative,even though chia seeds are much smaller.
What you need for 1 litre of chia seeds bubble tea:
2 bags of your favorite black tea,
800 ml boiling water to brew the tea
200 ml of milk,soy milk or almond Milk depending on your diet and preference
2 Tbsp of honey or agave syrup
3 Tbsp of Chia seeds
It’s so easy ,I actually feel dumb writing this hahaha xD
1.Brew your black tea and fill your cups or jug
2.Add the milk of your choice
3.Sweeten it with honey or agave syrup
4.Let it cool to room temperature and stir in the chia seeds
5.Let it rest in the fridge for 20 minutes,stir again and enjoy it ice-cold !
